Ruby Valley Trek

Day to Day Itinerary

• Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

  On arrival at Kathmandu and at Nepal international airport, received by our Boundless staff and representative or guide, for short transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city around Thamel. Thamel the an interesting and exciting area of the city, after checking into your rooms, then join at the lobby for group briefing provides you with trekking and other necessary information. Include group welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese authentic restaurant with local culture of folk musical program to entertain along with dinner.

• Day 02: Morning tour around Kathmandu at places of interest.

  Morning at the hotel having breakfast then leave for interesting sightseeing tour around Kathmandu famous world heritage sites, with time in afternoon preparation for trek.

• Day 03: Drive to Bhalche or Thulo-Gaon 1,855 m via Trisuli Bazaar - 06 hrs.

  Morning taking an exciting scenic drive to reach Nepal Mid West, where route takes to winding ups and down as journey heads past rural town, farm villages where drive diverts from main highway of Kathmandu to reach far end of Trisuli Bazaar within Nuwakot district at Bhalche or Thulo-Gaon for first overnight stop in local lodge or camping in the yard of the village.

• Day 04: Trek to Rupchet 2,850 m - 06 hrs.

  First day walk lead north facing views of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu range of peaks as the trek progress into cool alpine areas and past Gumbu and Phikuri Danda ridges. As walk head farm villages within grazing areas to Rupchet within beautiful rhododendron-oaks and pine trees surrounding, this is a summer pastureland with overnight camp on grassy meadow.

• Day 05: Cross over high Sing-La pass 4,055 m to the base at 3,245 m - 05 hrs.

  After overnight camp morning climb to cross over high and scenic Sing-la pass leads to steep climb for few hours to the top of Sing-la pass. On reaching the high ridge enjoy grand vista of rolling hills and valleys with close views of snow-capped mountains and closer look of Ganesh Himal, Manaslu towards west and as far to Langtang Himal in the east, after glorious panorama descend to the base of Sing-la pass at 3,255 m for overnight camp.

• Day 06: Trek to Shertung 1,920 m or Chalis-Gaon 1,674 m - 05 hrs.

  Today an interesting walk to Shertung and Chalis gaon (means 40 smaller villages) morning facing views of massive Ganesh Himal heading north into a nice and lovely forest surrounding with many cattle herders temporary shelters, a nice grazing areas with short up and downhill walk and then reaching at Shertung, here with nice refreshing stop heading downhill for few hours reaching a lovely village of Chalis Gaon of Tamang people a high hill tribe of Tibetan origin and Buddhist culture.

• Day 07: Trek to Nebar 2,020 m via Tatopani (hot-spring) - 05 hrs.

  Morning lead to short climb on top Tikkas Danda a ridge offer grand views of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu range of peaks, and then heading downhill with pleasant gradual walk reaching at Tatopani (hot-spring) with time to take a hot bathe to ease the muscles of walking ups and downhill. After a refreshing stop at Tatopani walk towards North to reach at Nebar a small farm settlement in the middle of no-where in perfect wilderness of beautiful forest and views of peaks.

• Day 08: Trek to Lapa-Gaon 1,850 m via Timal-Danda and Lapchet - 05 hrs.

  After a lovely morning within pristine area head south west over Timal-Danda and to Kapur small farm village with marvelous sceneries of hills and mountains and then reaching at Lapchet, from here few hours of good walk reaching at Lapa-Gaon for overnight stop with camping around farm fields.

• Day 09: Trek to Ri-Gaon 1,550 m via Bramachet Danda (ridge) - 06 hrs.

  Today walk entering around Ruby beautiful valley following the walk past Kachet and Kichet to reach at Rupchet small farm village and walking into lovely woodland with views of Manaslu and Ganesh Himal range of peaks, a nice walk of 5-6 hours reaching at Ri-Gaon for overnight stop, camping on a school yard or on farm terraces.

• Day 10: Trek to Phul-Kharka 1,210 m - 06 hrs.

  From here heading south around Dhading district areas towards warmer region as the walk drops altitude every hour passing many scattered farm villages of Kutawa-Arukhet-Bandhan-Cheelang to reach a nice village at Gumdi. From Gumdi a short uphill to Dhangarchol at 1,403 m high with fabulous views of snow-clad peaks and then descend to Phulkharka after a small place of Tinkune. On reaching Phulkhraka with overnight camp, offering wonderful views of nice surrounding of hills and valley with scenery of distant mountain range.

• Day 11: Trek to Jyamrung-Danda with camp at Chap Bhanjyang 1,550 m - 06 hrs.

  Today an interesting and scenic walk as walk lead further south around warmer areas within rice fields and terraces, walk to Dansing village and then at Su- Bhanjyang and to Ekle then reach a large village of Hatiyakot. From here walk to Chisa-Pani on downhill to Ankhu Khola (stream) and climb over Jyamrung Danda ridge with short descend to reach our overnight camp at Chap Bhanjyang.

• Day 12: Trek to Dhading Besi 950 m via Gola and Murli Bhanjyang - 05 hrs.

  After overnight at Chap Bhanjyang with views of mountains and rolling green hills, our last day walk of the adventure heads towards low warm country as vegetation changes from alpine to semi-tropical walking past scattered farm villages of Gola and Murli Bhanjyang area to reach large town of Dhading Besi for last overnight on the foot hills of Ganesh Himal area, overnight stop in tourist standard hotels with last farewell dinner among staff and porters.

• Day 13: Drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs.

  Morning drive back to Kathmandu on town of Dhading Besi and farm villages as route head on winding road to reach at Maleku town on main highway of Kathmandu-Chitwan and Pokhara following the main road reaching back at Kathmandu. On reaching Kathmandu late afternoon or evening time check into your respective hotels, with rest of the evening free to enjoy your own personal activities and shopping.

• Day 14: International Departure homeward bound.

  Enjoying marvelous time around high hills of Mid-West Himalaya within remote areas of Gorkha district, last day in Nepal after a great experience on Ruby Valley Around Ganesh Himal trek, as time for your international flight depart from the hotel, where Boundless Adventure staff transfer you to the airport for your flight homeward bound or to respective countries.
