Trek Outline

As the trek proceeds from Lukla after a scenic flight heading from one nice lovely village to another and entering cool alpine forest lined with tall rhododendron, oaks, magnolia and pine trees.

The route leads to steep climb but every hard moment rewards you with fabulous snow-capped mountain views as walk leads to famous Namche Bazaar a hub for Khumbu Sherpa and trekkers.

A place that offers visitors as well for locals with great various facilities in the backdrop of the white snow-capped mountain range, an ideal spot for rest and acclimatization days.

From Namche walk leads to a higher area visiting beautiful Tengboche and its interesting monastery surrounded by an array of peaks with views of Mt. Everest and magnificent Amadablam. You can even make your Everest trek up to Tengboche in case of the time limit; the trek is known as Everest Panorama Trek and can be completed just in 11 days including arrival and departure date.

The last place on route to Everest base camp with green tree-lines and lush vegetation from here onwards where the walk takes you arid and barren windswept country as you get closer to high mountains.

The trek takes you to scenic Imjatse valley in Dingboche with another rest day to explore around beautiful high spot for glorious views of snow-capped peaks and then heading towards Mt. Everest base camp with overnight at Lobuche.

Finally, our adventure takes you beneath world number one Mt. Everest with amazing views of surrounding high mountains and close within massif Khumbu Ice-Fall and glaciers.

Base Camp is flooded with various expeditions’ camps in high times of mountaineering season April and May, enjoying a time of your life where the adventure takes you up at the highest spot on top Kalapathar above 5,545 m high.

Kalapathar a rocky moraine hilltop located close to Mt. Pumori with fantastic views of Mt. Everest at the nearest distance with a range of peaks that surround you, and then downhill on the road back to Lukla.

On reaching Lukla after a marvelous time on high valleys of Khumbu with last overnight in Lukla, the next early morning flight brings you back at Kathmandu after a most remarkable trek to Everest Base Camp.

Best Time to Trek Everest Base Camp

Nearly all months of the year from March to May and September till February within spring-autumn / fall and winter times, except summer and monsoon wet season of June to mid-September heavy rains on southern sides of Everest and Khumbu region.

Best months and high time from March to May when days are longer with much sunlight hours clear morning till late afternoon, chances of light shower and snow on higher altitude above 3,000 m high.

Springtime hills are bright with wild-flowers in full bloom, especially the rhododendron of various species from tall trees to bushes a national flower of Nepal.

Another peak times to visit from mid-September to December months when days are clear for mountain views and pleasant walks, much shorter sun-light hours due to autumn and winter season.

Freezing cold temperatures in the morning and night times above 2,800 meters higher can expect snow above 3,000 m onward.
