Introduction

Tengboche Monastery and Everest Panorama Trek is an adventure of week duration, an enjoyable short program where all interested trekkers can join in this fabulous journey to high and scenic Khumbu area.

We have designed the trek for short period understanding the interest of travelers with dreams to catch views of Mt. Everest in the harmony of the local impressive culture of famous Sherpa. It is the best alternative of Everest Base Camp Trek for those who can’t spend 16 days’ Everest Base Camp Trek only to see the highest Mt. Everest 8848 m.

It is a journey of great fascination where walk leads to scenic views of white snow-capped peaks visiting nice traditional Sherpa villages adorned with colorful culture of Buddhism religion.

Tengboche Monastery and Mt. Everest Panorama Trek is not just only for excellent scenery of world highest peaks, where you can observe dramatic landscapes of green hills and river gorge in the midst of serene forest environment.

Trek Outline

The adventure starts with a sweeping swift flight from Kathmandu to land at the famous Lukla, a gateway town to many adventure destinations around the high Khumbu of Everest region.

The walk follows through nice cultural villages festooned with prayer flags and religious monuments after the trek takes you to high uphill climb within pleasant forest surroundings to reach colorful Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar a great place where travelers can find great facilities a place for busy markets held every week on Saturday, enjoy a full day at Namche exploring viewpoints and local culture.

After Namche, we head towards our main goal and highlight to reach the highest point of the adventure at beautiful and scenic Tengboche Monastery located in the midst of green and lush forest filled with rhododendron, pines, firs and juniper trees.

A wonderful place blessed with a grand panorama of high mountains that encircles this beautiful place facing views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse with the magnificent looking peak of Amadablam includes series of snow-capped peak range.

At Tengboche, we visit an impressive monastery and observe priests and monks on religious activities. It is a marvelous place where a great festival event held called Mani-Rimdu in the month of October as per the Buddhism calendar.

After enjoying the best time of your life with great experience in the shade of high Mt. Everest, the returning trek leads you to Lukla for short scenic flight back to Kathmandu and completes the journey happily.

The season for Tengboche Monastery and Mt. Everest Panorama Trek:

Nearly all months of the year from March to May and September till February within spring-autumn / fall and winter times, except summer and monsoon wet season of June to mid-September heavy rains on southern sides of Everest and Khumbu region.

Best months and high time from March to May when days are longer with much sunlight hours clear morning till late afternoon, chances of light shower and snow on higher altitude above 3,000 m high.

Springtime hills are bright with wild-flowers in full bloom, especially the rhododendron of various species from tall trees to bushes a national flower of Nepal.

Another peak times to visit from mid-September to December months when days are clear for mountain views and pleasant walks, much shorter sun-light hours due to autumn and winter season.

Freezing cold temperatures in the morning and night times above 2,800 meters higher can expect snow above 3,000 m onward.
