Slowly climb reaches to our main destination and highest overnight stop at Ghorepani village located in the middle of rhododendron and pine trees with views of Dhaulagiri range, a village inhabited by Poon people a Magar hill tribe of Western Nepal.

Next morning an hour hike up to Poon Hill on the tallest spot of the treks enjoy mind-boggling views of striking sunrise over array of Himalayan range of peaks then continue walk on alternative scenic route to Ghandruk village.

Ghandruk a large and main village of Annapurna Himalaya populated by Gurung hill tribe interwoven to Buddhism religion also follows their own ancestral Bon practice (pre-Buddhism).

From Ghandruk exploring around nice farm village in the backdrop of Annapurna peaks as walk ends with drive to reach at scenic and wonderful city in Pokhara, a place highly blessed with natural wonders of high mountains and calm beautiful lakes.

Season for Annapurna Himalaya Poon Hill Sunrise Trekking:

Nearly all months of the year from March to May and September till February within spring-autumn / fall and winter times, except the summer and monsoon wet season of June to mid September heavy rains on southern sides of Annapurna Himalaya range.

Best months and high season is from March to May when days are longer with much sunlight hours clear morning till late afternoon, chances of light shower and snow on mid hills above 2,000 m high.

Spring seasons, hills are alive with bright colors from wild-flowers in full blooming time especially the rhododendron of various species from tall trees to bush, also a national flower of Nepal.

Ghorepani area surrounded by tall rhododendron trees regarded as world largest natural garden, which you can witness on the treks to Ghorepani and Poon Hill all the way to Ghandruk village.

Another peak times to visit from mid September to December months when days are clear for mountain views and pleasant walks, much shorter sun-light hours due to autumn and winter season.

Freezing cold temperature in the morning and night times above 1,800 meters higher can expect snow above 2,500 m onward.
