Langtang Valley Trek

Day to Day Itinerary

• Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

  On arrival at Kathmandu and at Nepal international airport, received by our Boundless staff and representative or guide, for short transfer to your hotel in the hub of Kathmandu city around Thamel. Thamel the an interesting and exciting area of the city, after checking into your rooms, then join at the lobby for group briefing provides you with trekking and other necessary information. Include group welcome dinner in a nice Nepalese authentic restaurant with local culture of folk musical program to entertain along with dinner.

• Day 02: Morning tour around Kathmandu at places of interest.

  Morning at the hotel having breakfast then leave for interesting sightseeing tour around Kathmandu famous world heritage sites, with time in afternoon preparation for trek.

• Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi 1,460 m-6 hrs ride.

  Morning overland to Syabrubesi, on winding ups and down as drive past rural town and farm villages as road climbs to a cooler region on leaving warm low areas to reach Dhunche 1,965m, major town of Langtang area and headquarter of Rasuwa district. Where Langtang National Park starts, from here, journey continues downhill for few hours to Syabrubesi village for overnight stop.

• Day 04: Trek to Riverside or Lama Hotel 2,240 m - 05 hrs.

  First day walk follows from Syabrubesi with climb for a while but rest of the walk on gradual winding trail past terraced farm fields and villages, as walk reach a path coming from upper Syabru at Riverside near a place called Bamboo, an ideal spot for refreshing stop. From here walk into cool forested area within a gorge following Trisuli River upstream, the path from here leads to gentle up hill in the cool shade of rhododendron and oaks forest after few hours walk, arriving at Lama-Hotel for overnight stop a place with few lodges for travelers.

• Day 05: Trek to Langtang village 3,430 m -05 hrs.

  From Lama Hotel about three hours walks to Ghoretabla located is in the midst of a forest within pines, hemlocks and rhododendron trees from here feel slow rise in altitude with much cooler air. Walk continues for few hours on the trail to Langtang village through dense forest for an hour, on reaching a small stream and then leaving the tree line behind. Trek on winding path with some ups and down to Langtang Village for overnight stop with time to visit around village overlooking glimpse of Langtang Himal towards north on top of a great rock wall.

• Day 06: Trek to Kyanjin 3,850 m - 04 hrs.

  From here walk on gradual path for short while, and then climb for few hour encountering "mani-prayer wall" walk leads further east towards a wide valley within a huge meadow facing views of snow capped peaks. As walk gets much better on the way to our final destination at Kyanjin a scenic and charming spot, surrounded by series of peaks around all direction with close views of Langtang Lirung rises above 7,000m and Ice-Fall at near distance from overnight lodge at Kyanjin.

• Day 07: Rest-Day for acclimatization and leisure for hike.

  A leisure and a rest day for short walk to Kyanjin Ri or Tsego-Ri at above 4,700m where you can add more heights of the adventure offer panorama of snow capped peaks, afternoon visit local cheese factory with rest of the day free at leisure.

• Day 08: Trek to Lama Hotel 2, 470 m -06 hrs.

  After a wonderful time at Kyanjin, return journey back on same trail to Lama-Hotel a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of upper Trisuli River.

• Day 09: Trek to road head at Syabrubesi-05 hrs.

  Trek today follows on same scenic route for an hour, crossing over a bridge walk into bamboo forest, on leaving river down below, where long downhill takes you through farm terraces to reach at Syabrubesi for last overnight stop around Langtang Himal region.

• Day 10: Drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hrs.

  Morning overland journey to Kathmandu on leaving Syabrubesi village drive on winding ups to reach Dhunche and then downhill on same interesting highway to reach back at Kathmandu and then check into your respective hotels, with afternoon free to enjoy your own personal activities and shopping.

• Day 11: International Departure homeward bound.

  Enjoying marvelous time around high hills of Central Himalaya within Langtang Himal, and last day in Nepal after a great experience on Langtang valley panorama trek, as time for your international flight depart from the hotel, where Boundless Adventure staff transfer you to the airport for your flight homeward bound or to respective countries.
